High School

SJYM High School

Our High School Lifeteen program serves teenagers approximately 14-18 years old.
We encourage you to join us for any and all of our regularly scheduled events:

Life Night: Sunday, 6-8 PM

Our Sunday lifenight features dinner, a talk, small groups, and time in prayer. This is a great way to come meet our group if you are new to youth ministry. We would love to welcome you to our SJYM family!

Emmaus: Wednesday, 7-9 PM

Emmaus offers the opportunity for the teens to dive deeper into a life of prayer. We come together, hear a talk that inspires and teaches us to pray more deeply and intentionally, spend some time in front of the Blessed Sacrament, discuss as a group, then spend the remaining time in community. It’s an incredible night designed for the teen who wants to dig deeper into the Faith, but it has proven to be awesome night to welcome new friends as well.

We also offer the following retreats and annual events:

Fall Retreat: Prodigal September 29- October 1 2023

Our Fall Retreat offers the high schoolers an opportunity to take a step back from everyday life and consider how the Lord is inviting, forming, and guiding them to greater intimacy with Him. This coming year our Fall Retreat will be Prodigal, September 29th-October 1st at Camp Trinity, and it’s sure to be a fantastic time! This year, we made every effort to make attending Prodigal more attainable. With this in mind, we lowered the cost for registration to our previous years’ financial aid cost. We brought a great group of teens on retreat this year, and we can’t wait for next year!

Steubenville Youth Conference:

July 12-14, 2024

  • All teens from rising freshmen through newly graduated seniors are welcome to join us as we travel each year to Steubenville Mid-America, a conference hosted by the Franciscan University of Steubenville at Missouri State University. The conference features world-renown Catholic speakers and musicians, the Sacraments, and experience witnessing the vast regional Catholic community. We travel together as one SJYM family on this pilgrimage to encounter the Lord in new and deeper ways.
